And many women were there beholding afar off, who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him; among whom was Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joses and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Turning herself around, she said unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master. Jesus said unto her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene came giving the news to the disciples, That I have seen the Lord, and he spoke these things unto me.

And they told what things were done in the way and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread. And as they spoke these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them and said unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they were seeing a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet. And as they were not believing him yet for joy and wondering, he said unto them, Have ye here any food?

Verily I say unto you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her.
