And I will visit on her the days of the Baals, in which she burned incense to them, and she adorned herself with her nose-rings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers and forgot Me, says Jehovah.

And, behold, there a woman met him, with the dress of a harlot and a guarded heart.

For she sits at the door of her house, in a seat in the high places of the city, to call those who pass by, who are going straight on their ways; The simple one, let him turn in here. And to one lacking heart, she says to him, read more.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

And in that day Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years, it will be as the song of a harlot to Tyre. Take a harp, go about the city, O harlot who has been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs so that you may be remembered.


And the lyre, and the harp, the timbrel, and pipe, and wine, are at their feasts; but they do not regard the work of Jehovah. Yea, they do not see the work of His hands.

And the voice of harpers, and of musicians. and flutists, and of trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. And every craftsman of any craft will not be found any more in you. And the sound of a mill will never more be heard at all in you.

Why did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me, and did not tell me so that I might have sent you away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret and with harp?

The gladness of tambourines ceases, the noise of those who rejoice ends; the joy of the harp ceases.

They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance. They lift up voice at the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the flute.

Take a harp, go about the city, O harlot who has been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs so that you may be remembered.

And in every place which the ordained staff shall pass, which Jehovah shall lay on him, it shall be with tambourines and harps; in battles of shaking He will fight with them.

And I will cause the noise of your songs to cease; and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more.

And it will be, after the end of seventy years Jehovah will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
