But when it pleased God who separated me from my mother's belly, and called me through his grace, to reveal his Son in me, so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not straightaway confer with flesh and blood,

But I said, I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity. Yet surely the justice [due] to me is with LORD, and my recompense with my God. And now says LORD who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of LORD, and my God has become my strength),

Now the word of LORD came to me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee. I have appointed thee a prophet to the nations.
Except, as God has distributed to each man, as the Lord has called each, so let him walk. And so I command in all the congregations. Was any man called circumcised? Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of LORD been revealed? For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground. He has no form nor comeliness.
