However, because by this deed thou have given great occasion to the enemies of LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to thee shall surely die.
If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in my ordinances, if they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments, then I will visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes,
For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry, and smote him. I hid [my face] and was angry, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.

He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.
But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. Therefore thus says LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah. They shall not lament for him, [saying], Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! They shall not lament for him, [saying] Ah lord! or, Ah his glory! He shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
And they covet fields, and seize them, and houses, and take them away. And they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore thus says LORD: Behold, I devise an evil against this family, from which ye shall not remove your necks, nor shall ye walk haughtily, for it is an evil time.
