However, because by this deed thou have given great occasion to the enemies of LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to thee shall surely die.

If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in my ordinances, if they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments, then I will visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes,

Therefore thus says LORD: Behold, I devise an evil against this family, from which ye shall not remove your necks, nor shall ye walk haughtily, for it is an evil time.
