Is there any wise and understanding man among you? let him shew his works by a good conversation in the meekness of wisdom: but if ye have bitter envy and strife in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth; this is not the wisdom, that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and diabolical: read more.
for where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

For the doctrine of the cross is to them, that perish, foolishness: but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputant of the age? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Let no one deceive himself: if any among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, "He taketh the wise in their own craftiness:" and again, "The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain." read more.
