But, knowing their purpose, he said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself, is brought to desolation; and a house that is divided against a house, falls.
But Jesus perceived the thought of their heart, and he took a little child, and made it stand by him,
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, and pierces even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
See that no one make you the victims of imposture by means of philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not ac cording to Christ:
Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of- this world?
Yet we speak wisdom among the perfect; but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are brought to nought:
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written: He takes the wise in their own craftiness. And again: The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought to the obedience of the Christ,
Who is wise and discreet among you? Let him show, by a good behavior, his works, with the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom comes not from above, but is earthly, animal, demoniac.
Consider not each one his own gifts, but each one also the gifts of others.
Which, then, of these three do you think was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers? He replied: He that showed mercy to him. Jesus said to him: Go, and do you likewise.
administer to the necessities of the saints; be careful to entertain strangers;
and if one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

for our comely members have no need. But God has so arranged the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which is deficient, that there may be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same anxious care, one for another;
What, then, is it, brethren? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has something to teach, has an unknown tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If any speak in an unknown tongue, let two, or, at most, three, speak at each meeting, and in succession: and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church: but let him speak to himself, and to God.read more.
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge: and if any thing be revealed to one who is sitting by, let the first be silent. For you can all prophesy, one by one, that all may learn, and all may be encouraged; and the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets; for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
and let us consider one another that we may excite to love and good works,
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, do you, who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

because, when they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful; but they became perverse in their reasonings, and their wicked heart was darkened;

For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one that is among you, that he must not think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but that he be disposed to think modestly, as God has distributed to each a measure of faith.
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble call you;
Let no one deceive himself: if any one among you is considered as wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: yet, in malice, be childlike; but, in understanding, be full-grown men.

Therefore, be not anxious, saying: What shall we eat? or, what shall we drink? or, with what shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you in addition.read more.
