Jehoahaz » Also called shallum » Prophecies concerning
Do not weep for the dead, neither bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away; for he shall return no more, nor see his native country." For thus says the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went forth out of this place: "He shall not return there any more. But in the place where they have led him captive, there shall he die, and he shall see this land no more."
Weeping » On account of tribulation
Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Hosts, the Lord: "Wailing will be in all the broad ways; and they will say in all the streets, 'Alas. Alas.' and they will call the farmer to mourning, and those who are skillful in lamentation to wailing. In all vineyards there will be wailing; for I will pass through the midst of you," says the LORD.
