Why prolong we the time? Let us gather ourselves together, and go into the strong city; there shall we be in rest. For the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water mixed with gall to drink: because we have sinned against him. We looked for peace, and we fair not the better; we waited for the time of health, and lo, here is nothing but trouble. "Then shall the noise of his horses be heard from Dan; the whole land shall be afraid at the neigh of his strong horses. For they shall go in, and devour the land, with all that is in it: the cities, and those that dwell therein.

O what great troubles and adversities hast thou showed me! And yet didst thou turn and refresh me; yea, and broughtest me from the deep of the earth again.
