Instruction to Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the sayings of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter enigmas from ancient time:
All these things spake Jesus in parables to the crowds; and without a parable spake he not to them. So that that spoken by the prophet might be filled up; saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will declare things having been hid from the foundation of the world.
And with many such parables spake he the word to them, as they were able to hear. And without a parable spake he not to them: and apart, he solved all to his disciples.
