For it was Herod who had sent and seized John and bound him and put him in prison, on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, because Herod had married her.
but Herod the governor, whom he condemned because of Herodias, his brother's wife, and all the wicked things Herod had done, crowned them all by putting John in prison.
