Therefore they sought again to take him; but he escaped from their hand, And went again beyond Jordan, into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. And many resorted to him, and said, John performed no miracle; but all things that John spoke of this man were true. read more.

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he performed.

Then many of the Jews who came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.


And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

When therefore he had heard that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that he saith to his disciples, Let us ho into Judea again. His disciples say to him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walketh in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walketh in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. These things he said: and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleepeth he will do well. Now Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking rest in sleep. Then said Jesus to them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless, let us go to him. Then said Thomas, who is called Didymus, to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
