Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise."

For Christ hasn't entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
It happened, while he blessed them, that he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.
You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among men, yes, among the rebellious also, that the LORD, God, might dwell there.
Therefore he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."
When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.

Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee. When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus' disciple came. read more.
This man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up. Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed. Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
This man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up. Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed. Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat on it. For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men. The angel answered the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where he was lying. This saying was spread abroad among the Jewish people, and continues until this day.

They remembered his words, returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the Eleven, and to all the rest. Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles. These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they did not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.
