Looking down on the heavens, and on the earth?
Who kept us in mind when we were in trouble: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
Though the Lord is high, he sees those who are low; and he has knowledge from far off of those who are lifted up.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why does your Master take food with tax-farmers and sinners?
For he has had pity on his servant, though she is poor and lowly placed: and from this hour will all generations give witness to the blessing which has come to me.
And when he had said this, he let them see his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
Then he said to Thomas, Put out your finger, and see my hands; and put your hand here into my side: and be no longer in doubt but have belief.

And he said to them, So it is in the Writings that the Christ would undergo death, and come back to life again on the third day; And that teaching about a change of heart and forgiveness of sins is to be given to Jerusalem first and to all nations in his name. You are witnesses of these things. And now I will send to you what my father has undertaken to give you, but do not go from the town, till the power from heaven comes to you.

At evening on that day, the first day of the week, when, for fear of the Jews, the doors were shut where the disciples were, Jesus came among them and said to them, May peace be with you! And when he had said this, he let them see his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. And Jesus said to them again, May peace be with you!
