Do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of Jehovah. The king of Israel comes to search for a flea. Yet he hunts me down like a partridge on the mountains.

For man does not know his time. Like fish caught in an evil net, and like birds caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where there is no trap for him? Will a trap spring up from the ground when nothing at all sprung it?

Keep me away from the trap they set for me and from the traps set by troublemakers. Let wicked people fall into their own nets, while I escape unharmed.
My enemies hunt for me just as if I was a bird.
