"But if he is poor and cannot afford [these], he is to take one male lamb for a restitution offering to be waved in order to make atonement for him, along with two quarts/ 10 of an ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, one-third of a quart of olive oil, and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whatever he can afford, one to be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.






And whoever gives just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple—I assure you: He will never lose his reward!”


And a poor widow came and dropped in two tiny coins worth very little./ 64 of a daily wage, was the smallest Roman coin. Summoning His disciples, He said to them, "I assure you: This poor widow has put in more than all those giving to the temple treasury. For they all gave out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she possessed-all she had to live on."
