But in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, that your names were written in the heavens. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I will acknowledge to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and hast revealed them to babes: yes Father, for so was it benevolence before thee. All things were delivered me by my Father: and none knows who is the Son, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and to whomsoever the Son would wish to reveal. And having turned to the disciples apart he said, Happy the eyes seeing what ye see: For I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to behold what ye see, and saw not; and to hear what ye hear, and heard not.
