Now He said to His disciples: "It is inevitable that snares to evil will come, but a curse be on the man through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck, and he be hurled into the sea, than for him to ensnare one of these lowly ones. "Be always looking out for another. Then the Lord said to them, "If you had faith that grows like a mustard seed, you might have been saying to this mulberry tree, 'Pull yourself up by the roots and plant yourself in the sea,' and it would have obeyed you! "What man among you, if he has a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, 'Come at once and take your seat at the table,' but will not rather say to him, 'Get my supper ready, and dress yourself and wait on me until I eat and drink, and you yourself can eat and drink afterward'? Does he praise the slave for doing what he was ordered to do? So you too, when you do all that you are ordered to do, say, 'We are worthless slaves; we have done only what we ought to have done.'"
