And he kept questioning Him in many words; but He answered him nothing. And the high priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing Him. And Herod with his soldiers, having set Him at naught, and having mocked Him, having thrown over Him a gorgeous robe, sent Him back to Pilate. And Herod and Pilate became friends with each other on that day; for before they were at enmity between themselves.
