So his brethren and his mother came, and standing without sent to Him to call Him to them: and there was a multitude sitting about Him, and they said to Him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are without inquiring for thee. Now his mother and his brethren came to Him, and could not come at Him for the croud: and it was told Him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without desiring to see thee. And He answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God and do it.

But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, in order to suffer death, that by the grace of God He might taste death for every man, crowned with glory and honor. For it became Him for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect by sufferings: since He that sanctifieth, and they that are sanctified, are all of one.
