Let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him. He has trusted in God; if God wants him, let him deliver him now; for he said 'I am God's Son.'" Even the robbers, who were crucified with him, reviled him in the same way.

There were two others also, criminals, led out to be executed with Jesus. When they had reached the place called 'The Skull,' there they crucified Jesus and the criminals, one on the right, and one on the left. The soldiers, too, came up in mockery, bringing him common wine, And saying as they did so: "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself." Above him were the words--'THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.'
