and looking up to heaven, he cried out, and said, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and that which bound his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he charged them that they should tell no one; but the more he commanded them, so much more and more they published it and were beyond measure astonished, saying, He has done all things well: he makes both the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak.
