But they reasoned within themselves, saying, It is because we have not taken bread. But Jesus knowing it, said, Why do you reason within yourselves, men of little faith, because you have not taken bread? Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many travelling-baskets you took up? nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many store-baskets you took up? Why do you not understand that I spoke to you not of bread, to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
