And a heavy squall of wind came on and the waves dashed into the boat, so that it was beginning to fill. He was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him up and said to him, "Master, does it make no difference to you that we are sinking?" Then he awoke and reproved the wind, and said to the sea, "Hush! Silence!" And the wind went down and there was a great calm.
Once as the crowd was pressing about him to hear God's message, he happened to be standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, and he saw two boats on the shore of the lake, for the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets. And he got into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon, and asked him to push out a little from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds of people from the boat. read more.
When he stopped speaking, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water, and then put down your nets for a haul." Simon answered, "Master, we worked all night and caught nothing, but as you tell me to do it, I will put down the nets." So they did so, and inclosed such a shoal of fish that their nets began to break. And they signaled to their comrades in the other boat to come and help them. And they came, and they filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' feet and said, "Leave me, Master, for I am a sinful man." For he and all the men with him were perfectly amazed at the haul of fish they had made,

The rest of the disciples followed in the boat, for they were not far from land, only about a hundred yards, dragging in the net full of fish. He had worn no clothing for a long time, and did not live in a house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus he cried out and threw himself down before him, and said in a loud voice, "What do you want of me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you not to torture me!" read more.
