Now I beg you, brothers, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love that the Spirit inspires, to wrestle with me in prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from those in Judea who are disobedient, and that the help which I am taking to Jerusalem may be well received by God's people there, so that, if it is God's will, I may come with a happy heart to see you and have a refreshing rest while with you.

Keep on praying in the Spirit, with every kind of prayer and entreaty, at every opportunity, be ever on the alert with perfect devotion and entreaty for all God's people, and for me that a message may be given me when I open my lips, so that I may boldly make known the open secret of the good news, for the sake of which I am an envoy in prison: so that, when I tell it, I may speak as courageously as I ought.

for I know that through your prayers and a bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my spiritual welfare, Verse ConceptsMinistry, In The ChurchMissionaries, Support ForIntercessory PrayerThe Spirit Of ChristGod ProvidingPray For UsWorking Togetherdeliverance

You must persevere in prayer and by this means stay wide awake when you give thanks. At the same time keep on praying for me too, that God may open the door of opportunity for the message, so that I may tell the open secret about Christ, for the sake of which I am held a prisoner, in order to make it evident why I have to tell it.

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the message of the Lord may continue to spread and prove its glorious power as it did among you, and that we may be delivered from unprincipled and wicked men; for not all men have faith.

And have a guest-room ready for me, too, for I hope that through your prayers I shall have the gracious privilege of coming to you. Verse ConceptsIntercessory PrayerPray For UsStaying TemporarilyPrivate RoomsGuest Rooms

After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on before Him, two by two, to every town or place which He was going to visit. So He was saying to them: "The harvest is plentiful, but the reapers are scarce. So pray the Lord of the harvest to send out reapers to His harvest-field. Go on. Listen! Do not carry a purse, a bag, or shoes, and do not stop to say 'Good morning' to anybody on the road. Whenever you go to a house for headquarters, first say, 'Peace to this household.' And if anyone there loves peace, your peace will come upon him; but if not, it will come back to you. Stay on at the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the workman deserves his support. Do not keep moving about from house to house. And if you go into any town and they welcome you, continue to eat what is offered you, to cure the sick there, and to say, 'The kingdom of God is close upon you.' But if you go into any town and they do not welcome you, go out into the streets and say, 'We are wiping off against you the very dust from your town that has stuck to our feet. But understand this, the kingdom of God is close by.' I tell you, on that day the punishment will be lighter for Sodom than for that town.

Jesus kept visiting all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and curing every sort of sickness and ailment. When He saw the crowds, His heart was moved with pity for them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep without a shepherd.
