And he did evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab as his wife: and he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.
He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly. Therefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counselors after the death of his father, to his destruction.
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you walk in their counsels; that I should make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing: therefore you shall bear the reproach of my people.
