Yet even now, says Jehovah, turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

If I shut up the heavens, and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people; if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
And the people came to the house of God and stayed there until evening before God, and lifted up their voice and wept grievously, and said, O, Jehovah, the God of Israel, Why has this happened in Israel, that there should be today one tribe lacking in Israel? And it happened on the next day the people rose early and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
