And there came also Nicodemus (who at first came to Jesus by night) and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes about an hundred pound weight. So they took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

Now there was a man of the pharisees, whose name was Nicodemus, a ruler among the Jews: who came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for none can do these miracles which thou dost, unless God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily I tell thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. read more.
Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, I tell thee of a truth, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That, which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that, which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Do not wonder that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. As the wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound of it, but knowest not whence it cometh, or whither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel and knowest not these things?

Upon this Nicodemus, (who came to Him by night) being one of them, saith to them, Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he hath done? They replied, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and see: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. read more.
