Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for in all these things the nations are defiled which I am casting out before you. And the land is defiled; therefore I visit the iniquity of it upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants. So you shall keep My statutes and My ordinances and shall not commit any of these abominations, neither the native-born nor any stranger who sojourns among you, read more.
For all these abominations have the men of the land done who were before you, and the land is defiled -- " [Do none of these things] lest the land spew you out when you defile it as it spewed out the nation that was before you. Whoever commits any of these abominations shall be cut off from among [his] people. So keep My charge: do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you and defile yourselves by them. I am the Lord your God.

So you shall not pollute the land in which you live; for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood shed in it, but by the blood of him who shed it. And you shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, for I, the Lord, dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.

And Jesus called the people to Him and said to them, Listen and grasp and comprehend this: It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles [him].
