Who is the image of the invisible God, the prime author of all creation: for by him were all things created, celestial and terrestrial, visible or invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers, all were created by him, and for him: and he is before all, and by him all things subsist. By him therefore let us offer a sacrifice of praise perpetually to God, that is the fruit of our lips confessing his name. But of beneficence, and liberal distribution, be not unmindful: for such sacrifices God accepts with delight.
