In those days Hezekiah was sick to death; and Isaiah son of Amos the prophet will come in to him, and he will say to him, Thus said Jehovah, Command to thy house, for thou art dying, and thou shalt not live. And he will turn his face to the wall and pray, saying, O Jehovah, remember now how I went before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and I did the good in thine eyes. And it will be Isaiah went not forth to the city of the middle, and the word of Jehovah was to him, saying, Turn back and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus said Jehovah, God of David thy father, I heard thy prayer, I saw thy tears: behold me healing thee: in the third day thou shalt go up to the house of Jehovah. And I added to thy days fifteen years; and from the hand of the king of Assur I will deliver thee and this city; and I protected this city for my sake, and for sake of David my servant And Isaiah will say, Take a round mass of figs. And they will take and put upon the burning sore, and he will live. And Hezekiah will say to Isaiah, What the sign that Jehovah will heal me, and I went up in the third day to the house of Jehovah? And Isaiah will say, This the sign to thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the word which he spake: the shadow going ten steps, or shall it turn back ten steps? And Hezekiah will say, A light thing to the shadow to bow ten steps: nay, for the shadow shall turn back-wards ten steps. And Isaiah the prophet will call to Jehovah, and he will turn back the shadow in the steps which went down, in the steps of Ahaz, backwards ten degrees
