Thematic Bible: Penuel

Thematic Bible

Jeroboam built Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim and lived there. From there he went out and built Penuel.

The sun shone on him as he passed by Penuel—limping because of his hip.

He went from there to Penuel and asked the same thing from them. The men of Penuel answered just as the men of Succoth had answered. He also told the men of Penuel, "When I return in peace, I will tear down this tower!"

He also tore down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.

Iphdeiah, and Penuel were Shashak’s sons.

Penuel fathered Gedor, and Ezer fathered Hushah.
These were the sons of Hur, Ephrathah’s firstborn and the father of Bethlehem:

He also tore down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.

He went from there to Penuel and asked the same thing from them. The men of Penuel answered just as the men of Succoth had answered.

He also tore down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.
