When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, there stood a man in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him, and said: Are you on our side or our adversaries? He said: No, but as captain of the camp of Jehovah I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down and said: What does my lord say to his servant?
