Thematic Bible: Present at the cross

Near Jesus' cross were standing His mother and her sister Mary, the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. So Jesus, on seeing His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing near, said to His mother, "There is your son." Then He said to His disciple, "There is your mother." And from that very hour His disciple took her to his own home.
