Proverbs 19:1

Better a poor man who walks with integrity than a fool whose lips are perverse.

Proverbs 19:2

It is not good to be a person without knowledge. He who hurries often misses the way.

Man ruins his life by his own foolishness. His heart chafes with anger against Jehovah.

Wealth makes many friends but poverty drives them away.

Many ask favors of the prince. Every man is a friend of a person who gives gifts.

Laziness propels one into a deep sleep. An idle person will suffer hunger.

Proverbs 19:16

He who obeys the commandment saves his life. But he who is careless of his ways will die.

Proverbs 19:17

When you help the poor (needy) (lowly) (depressed) you lend to Jehovah. He will pay you back.

Proverbs 19:18

Correct your son while there is hope. Do not contribute to his death.

Proverbs 19:19

A man of great anger will suffer punishment. Rescue him once and then do it again.

Proverbs 19:20

Listen to counsel and accept instruction (discipline), that you may be wise in the future.

Many intentions are in men's hearts. Only counsel from Jehovah will stand.

Proverbs 19:22

Kindness is desired in a man. A poor man is better than a liar.

Proverbs 19:23

Respect for Jehovah leads to life. He who has it will be satisfied. He will not be visited by evil.

A lazy man hides his hand in the dish and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
