Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful mockers.

But his delight is in the law of Jehovah (YHWH), and on his law he meditates (ponders) (speaks softly with deep thought) (studies) (contemplates) day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water. It yields its fruit in season and its leaves do not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

This is not so for the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand (be upright) in the judgment. The sinners will not stand (endure) in the assembly of the righteous.

Jehovah knows (is fully aware of) the way of the righteous. But the way of the wicked will perish.
