Thus says LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, [and] his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers. Kings shall see and arise, rulers, and they shall worship, because of LORD who is faithful

For thou are a holy people to LORD thy God. LORD thy God has chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth. LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people, for ye were the fewest of all peoples, but because LORD loves you. However LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever.
