But if indeed our gospel is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they would not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When they become few and they are bent down from [the] oppression of calamity and grief, [he] pours contempt on princes and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not happened for my sake, but [for] your sake. Now is the judgment of this world! Now the ruler of this world will be thrown out! And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all [people] to myself."
