Your hand will capture all your enemies; your right hand will seize those who hate you. You will make them [burn] like a fiery furnace when you appear; the Lord will engulf them in His wrath, and fire will devour them.

As it is written: I have loved Jacob, but I have hated Esau.
The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all evildoers. You destroy those who tell lies; the Lord abhors a man of bloodshed and treachery.
But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.
