Anger of God » Manifested in terrors
He is the living God
The earth quakes at His wrath,
and the nations cannot endure His rage.
Then during the morning watch, the Lord looked down on the Egyptian forces from the pillar of fire and cloud, and threw them into confusion.

At Your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse lay still. And You-You are to be feared. When You are angry, who can stand before You? From heaven You pronounced judgment. The earth feared and grew quiet
Lord, look and consider who You have done this to. Should women eat their own children, the infants they have nurtured? Should priests and prophets be killed in the Lord's sanctuary? [Both] young and old are lying on the ground in the streets. My young men and women have fallen by the sword. You have killed [them] in the day of Your anger, slaughtering without compassion. You summoned my attackers on every side, as if [for] an appointed festival day; on the day of the Lord's anger no one escaped or survived. My enemy has destroyed those I nurtured and reared.

and you will perish in your rebellion,
for His
All those who take refuge in Him
When You are angry,
who can stand before You?
Your wrath matches the fear that is due You.
Anger of God » Cannot be resisted
When You are angry,
who can stand before You?
and conceal me until Your anger
If only You would appoint a time for me
and then remember me.
Who can endure His burning anger?
His wrath is poured out like fire,
even rocks are shattered before Him.
Stand? Who can » Sinful man cannot stand approved before God
because the great day of Their wrath has come! And who is able to stand?”

When You are angry,
who can stand before You?
But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will be able to stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner’s fire and like cleansing lye.
