God, having spoken many times and in many ways in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last times spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the ages;

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with the God. All things were made by him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. read more.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light. That Word was the true Light, which lightens every man that comes into this world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

But the LORD God is the Truth, he himself is Living God and Everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembles, and the Gentiles shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens or the earth, even they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens. He that makes the earth by his power, he that orders the world with his wisdom and extends the heavens with his intelligence:

For as I passed by and beheld your sanctuaries, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him I declare unto you. The God that made the world and all the things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life and breath and all things
