And he departed thence, and went into their synagogue, and behold, there was a man, which had his hand dried up. And they asked him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal upon the Sabbath days?" Because they might accuse him. And he said unto them, "Which of you would it be, if he had a sheep fallen into a pit on the Sabbath day, that would not take him and lift him out? read more.
And how much is a man better then a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do a good deed on the Sabbath day." Then said he to the man, "Stretch forth thy hand." And he stretched it forth, and it was made whole again like unto the other.

And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there which had a withered hand: and they watched him, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him. And he said unto the man which had the withered hand, "Arise and stand in the midst." read more.
And he said to them, "Whether is it lawful? To do a good deed on the Sabbath day, or an evil? To save a man's life, or to kill?" But they held their peace. And he looked round about on them, angrily mourning on the blindness of their hearts. And said to the man, "Stretch forth thine hand." And he stretched it out: And his hand was restored, even as whole as the other.

And it fortuned in another Sabbath also, that he entered into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man, whose right hand was dried up. And the scribes, and Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath day or not, that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, "Rise up, and stand forth in the midst." And he arose, and stepped forth. read more.
Then said Jesus unto them, "I will ask you a question: Whether is it lawful on the Sabbath days, to do good? Or to do evil? To save life? Or for to destroy it?" And he beheld them all in compass, and said unto the man, "Stretch forth thy hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored, and made as whole as the other. And they were filled full of madness, and communed one with another, what they might do to Jesus.
