And he departed from there and went into their synagogue. And look, there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?" that they might accuse him. And he said to them, "What man is there among you, who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won't he grab on to it, and lift it out? read more.
Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep. Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." Then he told the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and it was restored whole, just like the other.

And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered. And They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him. And he said to the man with the withered hand, "Stand up in the middle." read more.
And he said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?" But they were silent. And when he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered. The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Rise up, and stand in the middle." He arose and stood. read more.
Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to destroy it?" He looked around at them all, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored. But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.
