A good man will obtain favor from the Lord,
But He will condemn a man who devises evil.

The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.

Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and enjoy oneself in all one's labor in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward. so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For to a person who is good in His sight He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God’s sight. This too is vanity and striving after wind.

For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty,

For emptiness will be his reward.

“This is the portion of a wicked man from God,
And the inheritance which tyrants receive from the Almighty.
