In those days, began Yahweh to make inroads in Israel, - and Hazael smote them in all the boundaries of Israel; from the Jordan, towards sunrise, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, - from Aroer, which is by the torrent of Arnon, both Gilead and Bashan.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Damascus, and because of four, will I not turn it back, - Because, with threshing instruments of iron, they have threshed Gilead.

and their boundary was - Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, - as far as Aroer, which faceth Rabbah;
