Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent Him, by saying, "I have need to be baptized by you, and you come to me!" But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now, for this is the fitting way for both of us to do our full duty to God." Then he yielded to Him.
