A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from my iniquity. Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye-sight. With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt show thyself upright. With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt contend.

He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. They meet with darkness in the day-time, and grope in the noon-day as in the night.
Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt show thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt contend.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
