Thematic Bible: The master could marry, or give in marriage

When you go forth to war against your enemies, and the LORD your God has delivered them into your hands, and you have taken them captive, And see among the captives a beautiful woman, and have a desire unto her, that you would have her to be your wife; Then you shall bring her home to your house; and she shall shave her head, and trim her nails; read more.

And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. If she please not her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her.
