As has been written, Behold I set in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offence: and every one believing on him shall not be ashamed.

Jehovah of armies, him shall ye consecrate; and he your fear, and he your terror. And he was for a holy place and for a stone of striking, and for a rock of falling to the two houses of Israel; for a trap net and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Therefore honour to you believing: and to the unbelieving, the stone which the builders disapproved of has become the head of the corner, And a stone of stumble, and rock of offence, they disbelieving the word stumble: to which also they were set.
