Asher's food [is] delicious, and he shall provide from the king's delicacies.

And of Asher he said, "Blessed {more than sons} [is] Asher; {may he be the favorite} of his brothers, {dipping his feet in the oil}. Your bars [are] iron and bronze, and as your days, [so is] your strength."


The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel, who [was] the father of Birzayith. And Heber fathered Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and their sister Shua. read more.
The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These [were] the sons of Japhlet. The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram. The sons of Helem his brother: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal. The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera. The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara. The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia. All of these [were] the sons of Asher, heads of the house of the fathers, chosen mighty warriors, heads of the princes. And their number enrolled by genealogy, in the army for the war, [was] twenty-six thousand men.

And there was a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Asher (she was advanced {in years}, having lived with [her] husband seven years {after her marriage},


"The standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions [will be] to the west. The leader of the descendants of Dan [will be] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

Those encamped next to him [will be] the tribe of Asher. The leader of the descendants of Asher [will be] Pagiel son of Ocran.


then the border turns [to] Ramah, and up to the fortified city of Tyre, [where] the border turns [to] Hosah; {it ends} at the sea, from Hebel to Aczib.

Gilead has remained beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan dwell as a foreigner [with] ships? Asher sat at [the] coast of [the] waters, and by his coves he has been settling down.


He sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, and they were also called to follow him; and he sent messengers throughout Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali, and they went up to meet them.

And the men of Israel were called from Naphtali, from Asher, and from all of Manasseh, and they pursued after Midian.


Only men from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.


And from Asher, those who went out armed [and] prepared for battle: forty thousand.


And these shall stand on Mount Ebal for [delivering] the curse: Reuben, Gad and Asher and Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.


Then the standard of the camp of the descendants of Dan, who formed a rear guard for all the camps, set out according to their divisions; Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai [was] over its division. Pagiel son of Ocran [was] over the division of the tribe of the descendants of Asher.


And Zilpah, Leah's female servant, bore a second son to Jacob. Then Leah said, "How happy [am] I! For women have called me happy." So she called his name Asher.


The descendants of Asher according to their clans: of Imnah, the clan of the Imnahites; of Ishvi, the clan of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the clan of the Beriahites. The descendants of Beriah: of Heber, the clan of the Heberites; of Malkiel, the clan of the Malkielites. The name of the daughter of Asher [was] Serah. read more.
These [were] the clans of the descendants of Asher according to the ones counted of them, fifty-three thousand four hundred.


On the eleventh day Pagiel son of Ocran, leader of the descendants of Asher: his offering [was] one silver plate--its weight one hundred and thirty [shekels]--[and] one silver bowl for drinking [weighing] seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, {both of them} filled [with] finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; {one golden dish weighing ten shekels} filled [with] incense; read more.
one {young} bull, one ram, a male lamb {in its first year} as a burnt offering; one he-goat as a sin offering; and for the sacrifice of the fellowship offering, two cattle, five rams, five he-goats, [and] five male lambs {in their first year}. This [was] the offering of Pagiel son of Ocran.


From the descendants of Asher, their genealogies according to their clans, according to {their families}, according to [the] number of names, from {those twenty years old} and above, everyone who [is able] to go to war: those who were counted from the tribe of Asher were forty-one thousand five hundred.


The fifth allotment {fell} for the tribe of the descendants of Asher according to their families. Their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph, Allamelech, Amad, and Mishal; it touches Carmel to the west, and Shihor-Libnat. read more.
Then it turns {eastward} to Beth-dagon and touches Zebulun and the valley of Yiptah-El to the north to Beth Emeck and Neiel; it continues to Cabul from [the] north, and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah up to Great Sidon; then the border turns [to] Ramah, and up to the fortified city of Tyre, [where] the border turns [to] Hosah; {it ends} at the sea, from Hebel to Aczib. [Included were] Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob; twenty-two cities and their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Asher according to their families, these cities and their villages.


Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, Sidon, Ahlab, Aczib, Helbah, Aphik, or Rehob, so the Asherites lived in the midst of the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, for they did not drive them out.
