The border of the descendants of Dan continued {beyond them}, because the descendants of Dan went up and fought with Lesham, and they captured and struck it with {the edge of the sword}, and they took possession of it and settled in it; and they called Leshem Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor.
And they took what Micah had made, and his priest, and they came to Laish, to a quiet and unsuspecting people, and {they put them to the sword} and burned the city with fire. Therefore they called this place Camp of Dan to this day; it is west of Kiriath Jearim. From there they crossed [over to] the hill country of Ephraim, and they came to the house of Micah.
